Football Recap: AJ Wilson and K-Rod Evans Secure Win for ABF Academy

ABF Academy took a 33-point defeat the last time they faced off against Coral Shores, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cowboys came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hurricanes on Friday, sneaking past 20-17.

Leading ABF Academy to victory were K-Rod Evans and AJ Wilson. Evans rushed for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, while Wilson picked up 63 receiving yards and one score.

ABF Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Coral Shores, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

ABF Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palmer Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on the 31st. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cowboys 14.2, the Falcons 6.6) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Coral Shores, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-0 loss against Neumann on the 24th.
