Soccer Recap: West Branch Triumphs

West Branch kept a clean sheet against Beaver Local on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Beavers 1-0. That's two games straight that West Branch have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Gavin Clemens, who's now up to 14 this season.

The win made it two in a row for West Branch and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Beaver Local, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Branch will take on Carrollton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Branch will be up against Carrollton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.55 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Beaver Local, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on United at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
