Basketball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mount Tabor + How To Watch

R.J. Reynolds scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Tabor Spartans. The Demons have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, R.J. Reynolds saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jane Welch dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for Welch. The team also got some help courtesy of Di'Misha Watson, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Tabor to victory, but perhaps none more so than JaNyah Blair, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards. Another player making a difference was Kayden Grayson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

R.J. Reynolds' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mount Tabor, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, R.J. Reynolds will have a chance to keep the ball rolling against Reagan at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday following yesterday's win. As for Mount Tabor, they and Forbush will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
