Basketball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

The Springfield Spartans came up short against the Conotton Valley Rockets on Friday and fell 69-57.

Conotton Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamden Wright led the charge by putting up 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was RJ Higgenbotham, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Conotton Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Springfield has already played their next game (against Streetsboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Conotton Valley, they will take on Strasburg-Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
