Penobscot Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Bangor Christian Patriots get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. The Howlers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Lauren Veino made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk).
