Volleyball Recap: Boone Grove Comes Up Short

After flying high against Washington Township on Wednesday, Boone Grove came back down to earth. The Wolves fell just short of the Illiana Christian Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Boone Grove still got an impressive performance from Lauren Voudrie, who had 14 digs and two aces. Voudrie is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season.

Boone Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Illiana Christian, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Coincidentally, Boone Grove and Illiana Christian will both be playing Kokomo the next time they take the court. The Wolves will head out to face the Wildkats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
