Football Game Preview: Chipley Tigers vs. Lafayette Hornets + How To Watch

The Chipley Tigers will head out to face off against the Lafayette Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Chipley sitting on three straight victories and Lafayette on five.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Chipley's defense stepped up to hand Jefferson County a 35-0 shutout. Considering Chipley has won four games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lafayette). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Branford 55-7. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Chipley's record is now 8-1. As for Lafayette, their record now sits at an identical 8-1.

Chipley took a serious blow against Lafayette when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 48-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Hornets' Tywan K Williamson, who threw for 216 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 73 yards on only nine carries.
