Volleyball Recap: Drummond Lumberjacks vs. Luck Cardinals
Drummond extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 5-9. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Luck Cardinals. The Lumberjacks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 2-1.
As for Luck, they moved to 2-17 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 28, 2024.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Luck to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Olson, who had 14 digs and 13 assists. Olson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ruby Johansen, who had 13 digs and one assist.
Looking ahead, Drummond will challenge Solon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Luck, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Northwestern on the 27th.
