Baseball Recap: Arcadia's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Van Buren, Arcadia was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Ada Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Redskins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Isaac Stoner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Arcadia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Nusser, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Nusser has posted since back in May of 2024. Owen Rader also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Arcadia's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10. As for Ada, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcadia will venture away from home to take on Waynesfield-Goshen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ada, they will head out to face off against Pandora-Gilboa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
