Itasca barely beat Italy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Itasca was the clear victor by a 15-2 margin over Italy on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wampus Cats, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Buddy Jackson and Dawson Mears were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Jackson tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Mears pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
