Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Wilson

Wilson won the last time they faced Exeter Township and things went their way on Wednesday too. Wilson came out on top against Exeter Township by a score of 11-6. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly five runs.

The team relied heavily on Tim Lengle, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Gabel, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

The victory (which was Wilson's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.3 runs this season. As for Exeter Township, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will take on North Penn at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. North Penn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Wilson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Exeter Township, they will face off against J.P. McCaskey at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. J.P. McCaskey has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Exeter Township will no doubt try to take advantage of.
