Basketball Recap: South Park Takes a Loss

South Park and Ellwood City squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Park had to settle for second. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellwood City Wolverine. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Ellwood City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chuckie Schweinsberg, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 16 points. The dominant performance gave Schweinsberg a new career-high in points. Maykel Cuevas was another key player, putting up 11 points.

South Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Ellwood City, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-9.

As of now, neither South Park nor Ellwood City have any future games scheduled.
