Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves vs. Santa Rosa Academy Rangers
The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves lost against the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. San Jacinto Valley Academy was dealt a 66-37 defeat at the hands of Santa Rosa Academy. San Jacinto Valley Academy has not had much luck with Santa Rosa Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, San Jacinto Valley Academy still got an impressive performance from Jacob Fisher, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. Fisher scored a full 40.5% of San Jacinto Valley Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Chris Jones was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 38 points and 1 assists for Santa Rosa Academy. The contest was Jones' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Austyn Hopkins was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
San Jacinto Valley Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Santa Rosa Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
San Jacinto Valley Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Nuview Bridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nuview Bridge comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
