Basketball Game Preview: North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers vs. International Community Comets

The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers will take on the International Community Comets in a tournament on Monday. North Bay Haven Academy will be strutting in after a victory while International Community will be coming in after a defeat.

North Bay Haven Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rutherford by a score of 57-50.

North Bay Haven Academy relied on the efforts of Josuel Cruz, who posted 20 points, and Jamal Fennell, who had 13 points.

Meanwhile, International Community played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Hagerty, falling 87-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), the Comets still had to take the loss.

North Bay Haven Academy will have to keep a close watch on Paxton Boaz and Erza Rivera, a pair of players who had a big impact on International Community's prior game. Boaz went 9-for-12 en route to 25 points and seven assists, while Rivera shot 67% from the field on his way to 16 points and seven boards. The matchup was Boaz's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekiel Manzano, who put up five points.
