St. Michael the Archangel's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Pembroke Hill Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 31-16. The high-scoring effort was just what the Guardians needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Gage Burgess produced another solid effort throwing for 210 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 75 yards and one score. St. Michael the Archangel's leading receiver Maximus Thomas was Burgess' top target yet again, picking up 97 receiving yards and one TD.

The win got St. Michael the Archangel back to even at 2-2. As for Pembroke Hill, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Coming up, St. Michael the Archangel is taking a road trip to face off against St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Guardians will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pembroke Hill, they will be playing at home against University Academy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
