After a string of four wins, Soroco's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plateau Valley Cowboys. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Plateau Valley scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 20-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Kolbie Pierce paced Soroco's offense, picking up 21 kills. Pierce got some help from Makinly Long and her 32 assists. Finally, Pierce was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Lili Taylor went supernova For Plateau Valley., getting 13 digs and six aces. Taylor has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Soroco's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Plateau Valley, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-1.

Soroco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plateau Valley, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Eads on the 8th.
