Football Game Preview: Ketchum Warriors vs. Fairland Owls

The Ketchum Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Fairland Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairland took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ketchum, who comes in off a win.

Ketchum's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They breezed past Porter to the tune of 34-0. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Ketchum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gracian Jones led the charge by picking up 97 receiving yards and two TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. Another player making a difference was Keegan Johnston, who rushed for 38 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Fairland's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to Hominy at home by a 36-20 margin.

Fairland's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Ketchum, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.

Ketchum was able to grind out a solid victory over Fairland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 44-35. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Owls' Carson Schertz, who rushed for 116 yards and three scores, and also threw for 387 yards and a pair of TDs.
