Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Clara Moore and Paige Whitted Lead Briarcrest Christian to Victory

Briarcrest Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 43-33 victory over the Covington Chargers. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Briarcrest Christian to victory were Paige Whitted and Clara Moore. Whitted went 8 of 17 en route to 19 points, while Moore posted eight points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Moore a new career-high in blocks (two).

Briarcrest Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Covington, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Briarcrest Christian will venture away from home to challenge Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Briarcrest Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season. As for Covington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ripley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
