Basketball Recap: Liberty Falls Short Against Ranked Desert Pines

On Thursday, Liberty faced Desert Pines in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Liberty Patriots took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Desert Pines Jaguars. The Patriots' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Liberty lost, don't look at Satsuki Bradley. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Christensen, who put up five points and nine rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Anaiah Brown, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Alyvia Harrington, who had six points and 14 rebounds.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Desert Pines, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

As of now, neither Liberty nor Desert Pines have any future games scheduled.
