Football Game Preview: St. John's Jesuit Titans vs. De La Salle Collegiate Pilots

The St. John's Jesuit Titans will venture away from home to challenge the De La Salle Collegiate Pilots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John's Jesuit has given up an average of 28 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. John's Jesuit is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Catholic Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Titans were outmatched by the Shamrocks and fell 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 143rd in Ohio, while the Shamrocks are ranked second in Michigan).

Meanwhile, De La Salle Collegiate might've scored the first points on Saturday, but it was Brother Rice who claimed the real prize. The Pilots fell 22-17 to the Warriors. While the Pilots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 7-0 in the first quarter.

This is the second loss in a row for St. John's Jesuit and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for De La Salle Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

St. John's Jesuit took a serious blow against De La Salle Collegiate when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 49-14. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
