Football Recap: Norton Piles Up the Points Against Larned + How To Watch

Norton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 56-14 win over the Larned Indians. The Bluejays' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tyler Backman had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 227 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run. Another rusher making a difference was Owen Clark, who gained 92 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Norton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Norton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kaleb Keiswetter.

Norton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Larned, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

As of now, neither Norton nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
