Tariq Johnson leads Mifflin to victory over Briggs

Recap: Mifflin Punchers vs. Briggs Bruins
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Upper Arlington, the Mifflin Punchers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Briggs by a score of 72-61. With that win, Mifflin brought their scoring average up to 53 points per game.
Tariq Johnson went supernova for Mifflin, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. John Glover was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 assists.
The victory got Mifflin back to even at 1-1. As for Briggs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mifflin will challenge Worthington Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Briggs, they will head out on the road to face off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
