Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for North Stanly

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Stanly ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Montgomery Central Timberwolves. The win was just business as usual for the Comets, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Lexie Brown produced another solid performance putting up 21 points. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shy'Mani Baskins, who posted 11 points.

North Stanly's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Montgomery Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. North Stanly is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Bradford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
