Edsel Ford entered their tilt with Jefferson on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bears 9-3. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Edsel Ford got a great performance from Jacob Kowalsky as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. Kowalsky has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Zelek was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Harrison OConnor was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Edsel Ford's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Jefferson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

Coming up, Edsel Ford is taking a road trip to square off against Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Airport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
