Basketball Game Preview: Wyoming Area Warriors vs. Berwick Bulldogs

Wyoming Area and Berwick are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Wyoming Area Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Berwick Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Wyoming Area sitting on five straight wins and Berwick on seven.

On Thursday, Wyoming Area needed a bit of extra time to put away Wyoming Seminary College Prep. They walked away with a 76-67 victory over the Blue Knights. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Blue Knights are ranked 664th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Berwick didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Holy Redeemer on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win.

Wyoming Area's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Berwick, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Wyoming Area beat Berwick 66-56 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wyoming Area since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
