Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Zion). They took down the Banneker Trojans 69-53 on Friday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 54-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mt. Zion's victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Banneker, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mt. Zion will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Utopian Academy for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on December 5. As for Banneker, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Forest Park at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
