After a string of three wins, Jenkins's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Effingham County Rebels.

Jenkins' offense was headlined by Taylor Young and Zoe Diogo, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Carter and her six assists.

Effingham County was led to victory by Bella Giaquinto and Bella Mauro. Giaquinto had nine digs and three aces, while Mauro had five aces. Those five aces gave Mauro a new career-high. Ka'Meil Bates also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Jenkins' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Effingham County, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Jenkins didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against South Effingham on the 9th. As for Effingham County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Evans on the 11th.
