Basketball Recap: Zaymian Heredia's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Borger over Sanford-Fritch

If Borger was feeling good fresh off their 63-33 takedown of Canadian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 45-33 to the Sanford-Fritch Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

Borger's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaymian Heredia, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Borger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sanford-Fritch, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.
