Calumet New Tech won the last time they faced Lighthouse College Prep Academy and Eunice Guardarrama did her part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors snuck past the Lions with a 38-34 victory on Monday with plenty of help from Guardarrama, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 20 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.2 boards per game.

Deja Wright also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season. Wright is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Calumet New Tech's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lighthouse College Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calumet New Tech will host Hobart at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lighthouse College Prep Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on December 10.
