Volleyball Recap: Buhler Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Buhler can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clay Center Tigers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18.

Emerson Waldren paced Buhler's offense, picking up eight kills. Waldren got some help from Rorey Waldren and her eight assists.

Buhler's loss dropped their record down to 15-23. As for Clay Center, the win was the 25th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-2.

Buhler didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against McPherson on the 31st. As for Clay Center, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hayden on the 31st.
