Basketball Recap: Maranatha Takes a Loss

If Maranatha was feeling good fresh off their 92-40 takedown of Arleta on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen fell 48-38 to the Bishop Montgomery Knights on Wednesday. The Minutemen lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-28 score last time.

Maranatha's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bishop Montgomery, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Maranatha will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on La Salle at 8:15 p.m. on December 2. As for Bishop Montgomery, they and Arleta will face off at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played.
