Football Game Preview: Bay Path RVT Minutemen vs. Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers

Bay Path RVT is 1-7 against Blackstone Valley RVT since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Minutemen will face off against the Beavers at 1:00 p.m. Bay Path RVT is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bay Path RVT beat Nipmuc Regional 20-14. That's two games straight that the Minutemen have won by exactly six points.

Dominik Ignatovich went supernova, rushing for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 112 receiving yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Max Lapriore was another key player, rushing for 23 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bay Path RVT was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
