Volleyball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Takes a Loss

Jac-Cen-Del lost against South Decatur back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Jac-Cen-Del was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into South Decatur's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Brynlie Simon paced Jac-Cen-Del's offense, picking up ten kills. Simon got some help from Brooklyn Simon and her 17 assists. Brooklyn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for South Decatur, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Jac-Cen-Del wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Morristown on the 30th. As for South Decatur, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Oldenburg Academy on the 30th.
