Football Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pflugerville dropped to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They were beaten by the Pflugerville Connally Cougars 65-26. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Pflugerville still got an impressive performance from Cole Taylor, who threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground.

As for Pflugerville Connally, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games.

Jonah Garcia was his usual excellent self, rushing for 300 yards and six TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards. Jase Watkins also helped out as he racked up 120 rushing yards.

Pflugerville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 64-35 win against Sam Houston on the 14th. As for Pflugerville Connally, they have also already played their next game, a 65-0 victory against Jefferson on the 14th.
