Basketball Recap: Wilson's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Burroughs came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Wilson, but Tyler Wong wouldn't allow it. The Wilson Wildcats walked away with a 53-46 win over the Burroughs Burros on Thursday thanks in part to Wong, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 21 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The team also got some help courtesy of Duncan Quirarte, who posted eight points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played.

Wilson's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Burroughs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Wilson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-43 win against Bell Gardens on the 26th. As for Burroughs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-52 victory against South El Monte on the 26th.
