Slidell waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Berwick Panthers 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Slidell's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brody Lupo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Lupo a new career-high in RBI (two). Another was Sergio Sotillo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Slidell pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Berwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Slidell will be playing in front of their home fans against McDonogh 35 at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Slidell's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so McDonogh 35's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Berwick, they will head out to challenge South Terrebonne at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
