Volleyball Recap: Compton Early College Comes Up Short

Compton Early College lost against Ambassador on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rising Phoenix took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. While the Rising Phoenix didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-15 in the first set.

Compton Early College started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-8.

Compton Early College's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ambassador, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Compton Early College has already played their next matchup (against Shalhevet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ambassador, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pacific Lutheran at 4:00 p.m.
