Football Recap: Gloucester Comes Up Short

If Gloucester was feeling good fresh off their 33-8 takedown of Saugus two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fishermen were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 7-6 to the Winthrop Vikings. The game marked the Fishermen's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Winthrop, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.
