Softball Recap: Murdock Comes Up Short

Murdock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 20-8 to the Gardner Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 two weeks ago.

Sadie Bauver was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mya McDermott, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Murdock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Gardner, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4.

Coming up, Murdock will take on Quabbin Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gardner, they will face off against Tahanto Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
