Volleyball Recap: Central Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Jesuit

Central Catholic faced Jesuit in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17.

Jesuit was led to victory by Kiana Johnson and Cecily O'Sullivan. Johnson had ten digs and four assists, while O'Sullivan had three digs and two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Central Catholic and nudges their season record down to 13-6. As for Jesuit, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Central Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Crescent Valley on the 11th. As for Jesuit, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against South Salem on the 11th.
