Neil Howard has led Hillside in runs on the season and he led the team again on Tuesday. Northern Durham had no answer to Howard as he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Howard is becoming a predictor of Hillside's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 1-7 when he doesn't).

Even though Howard couldn't lead Hillside over Northern Durham, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets haven't beaten the Knights recently, having gone 0-9 since April of 2022.
