Basketball Game Preview: Tylertown Chiefs vs. Provine Rams

The Tylertown Chiefs will venture away from home to square off against the Provine Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tylertown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tylertown beat Columbia 42-37.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Provine). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Natchez 64-30. The game was the first time the Rams have beaten the Bulldogs on their court since January 20, 2017.

Tylertown's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Provine, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Tylertown beat Provine 46-33 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
