Football Recap: Prairie Falcons vs. Ridgefield Spudders
Prairie couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Ridgefield Spudders on Saturday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spudders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Landon Debeaumont was a one-man wrecking crew for Ridgefield as he threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Cly Stephens, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Prairie is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they face off against Washougal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgefield, they will challenge Montesano at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
