Meanwhile, Carlinville had just enough and edged Hillsboro out 2-1 on Tuesday.
In the two sets Carlinville was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-15, 25-12.
Carlinville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.
Staunton has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Carlinville, their win bumped their record up to 26-6-1.
