Soccer Recap: Jackson Day Takes a Loss

Jackson Day lost against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mariners lost 10-1 to the Gryphons. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Jackson Day were already down 6-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Caden Merritt, who's now up to four this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Jackson Day and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jackson Day will face off against rival Mountain Island Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
