Recap: Mallard Creek Mavericks vs. Hough Huskies
The Mallard Creek Mavericks fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Hough by a score of 59-47 on Thursday. For Mallard Creek, this counts as revenge for the 69-59 loss Hough walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Mallard Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Langston Boyd, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The game was Boyd's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rassell Young, who scored 17 points.
Mallard Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Hough, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
