Football Game Preview: Lewis County Panthers vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Drew Ray and Kayden McCrory are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Lewis County Panthers will welcome the Mt. Pleasant Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Lewis County 12.5, Mt. Pleasant 7.2) so any points scored will be well earned.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lewis County challenged Lexington on Friday. The Panthers fell 37-28 to the Tigers. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this contest were averaging 12.5 points allowed.

Kobe Feichtinger put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 117 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Eagles 36-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

Mt. Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lewis County, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 7-1.

Lewis County skirted past Mt. Pleasant 8-6 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
