Football Game Preview: Fredonia/Elk Valley vs. Neodesha Blue Streaks

Fredonia/Elk Valley will head out to square off against the Neodesha Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fredonia/Elk Valley is looking for their season's first victory.

On Friday, Fredonia/Elk Valley ended up a good deal behind Galena and lost 26-12.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kayson Farr, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 75 yards. Brayden O'Leary was another key signal caller, throwing for 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Neodesha earned a 20-7 win over Columbus on Friday.

Neodesha found their leader in sophomore Tayte Leck, who threw for 229 yards and three TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Camryn White, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

One reason for the win was Neodesha's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. J'Vonte White was especially locked on to Columbus' QB and sacked him twice.

Fredonia/Elk Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Neodesha, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Things could have been worse for Fredonia/Elk Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-34 loss to Neodesha in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can Fredonia/Elk Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
