Volleyball Recap: Shakamak Lakers vs. Clay City Eels

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shakamak had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Clay City Eels. The victory was familiar territory for the Lakers who have now won three games in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 16-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Shakamak found their leader in underclassman Ava Mccrary, who had 13 digs.

Shakamak has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Clay City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Shakamak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lighthouse Christian Academy on the 19th. Clay City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
