Westville is 8-2 against Tri-Township since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blackhawks will challenge the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westville has three straight wins, Tri-Township has 17 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Westville played against Michigan City on Saturday and won via forfeit.

Tri-Township lost 15-2 to DeMotte Christian on Thursday.

Tri-Township saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryleigh Rust, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Westville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Tri-Township, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Westville took their victory against Tri-Township in their previous meeting on May 7th by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
